If you are a tax-exempt entity or you’re purchasing items for use in a way that is recognized by your state as being exempt from sales tax, we need to know that when you place order so we can charge you correctly. During checkout, you will be given the opportunity to indicate that your order is tax-exempt. You will be responsible for sending us your tax exemption certificate via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or fax (800-279-6897) after you place your order.
If you don’t have your certificate on hand when you place your order, please visit your state taxation department’s website to download the necessary forms. Do not indicate that your order is tax-exempt unless you are already registered and recognized as such by the state your order is shipping to.
We’ll deduct sales tax from your order after verifying your tax exemption certificate. We will contact you if there is an issue during the verification process, or you can check the status of your order in your order history if you placed your order using your WaferSeals.com account.
You must provide your certificate within two business days; failing to do so will cause sales tax to be charged to your payment method when your order ships. We are unable to remove sales tax from invoices after your order has shipped.
